On November 10, 2019, Perry Ehrlich celebrated the 25th anniversary of his iconic musical theatre summer camp for kids at the Jewish Community Centre called Gotta Sing! Gotta Dance! by having a showcase concert during the Chutzpah Festival. The performance featured many previous and current participants from Gotta Sing! Gotta Dance! camps of the past, as well as his ShowStoppers group. Some have gone on to careers in musical theatre, opera, pop, dance, and film and TV, and have participated in productions nominated for the prestigious Tony Award for their work. Others have become physicians, teachers, financial planners, and even lawyers!
Perry is incredibly committed and passionate about his work at Gotta Sing! Gotta Dance!, as are the performers - and, as always, the performance showed it.
The show was an amazing display of talent and the fact that so many of the participants came back to participate was an incredible tribute to all of Perry’s work and to the kids. His daughter, Lisa, even performed with him (as pictured here), which was one of the many, many highlights of the evening.
